Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Everyone seems to be looking for an economical way to update their kitchen without spending a fortune. One way this can be accomplished is with paint. When we moved into our home one of the first things I noticed were the kitchen cabinets had been painted. They are a lovely Expresso color and really make the kitchen pop. Unfortunately whomever painted them didn't take the time to prime them before applying the paint, so I'm constantly touching up nicks and scrapes.

Luckily paint has come a long way. Home Depot and Lowes carry paints and primers that make the process relatively painless and easy. I'm sure there are other resources out there as well.

Today I came across an article on Zillow which provides some great insight on the process. Before you decide to tackle the project yourself, or hire a professional to do the job for you, read on. This way you can make an informed decision and know what questions to ask your contractor or the salesperson at the store.

If there is anything I may assist with please give me a call. Choosing paint, figuring out what items should stay or go, or trying to organize all of the gadgets you find in the back of the cabinets can be a challenging task. I'm here to help.
